- 睡后收入，就是不用工作也能获得的收入，这是赚钱相对比较高的境界。
柏波罗和布鲁诺关于提水桶和建管道的故事就是典型。他们二人受雇，把河水运到村广场的水缸里，两个人都抓起两只水桶奔向河边，但柏波罗白天提水，晚上和周末利用休息时间挖出了一条输水管道，几年后他白天不用工作，也能获得来自输水管道的收益，而且，比依旧提水桶的布鲁诺收入多了n倍。
故事很简单，与睡前收入相对立的就是提桶者，你必须一刻不停地干活才能确保有收入来源，本质上是用体力来换钱。
但我们却常常会忽略，人的身体会逐渐变老，机能会不断下降，经济环境有周期变化，知识更新速度加快等等都会导致人才淘汰频率加快，一辈子提水桶的人可能会越来越焦虑，一不小心，哪天病倒了，提不了水了，生活就难以为继了。原先看似坚不可摧的秩序，只要资金流一断，就会突然崩塌，重心失去。
多少人的梦想——躺着也把钱挣了
比特币首富李笑来有过一个相当经典的描述：我们缺的就是柏波罗这样的一个管道思维，可以随时随地为你赚钱，所谓躺着也能把钱挣了，这才叫牛逼。
想做到财富自由，我们必须记住几个原则：
01、凡是不可持续的，就是不值得羡慕的
“授之以鱼不如授之以渔”，与其选择万贯家财，不如选择一支不断流淌的“金钱管道”。“不断流淌的金钱管道”，这就是持续收入的概念，一次、一个月、一年能赚多少钱不重要，而是能赚多久才是最重要的。
很多人穷尽一生之力，几乎沦为工作的奴隶，却一辈子无法致富。那些买彩票、乐透、赌博，以为一夜就能致富的人，他们也许达到致富的目的了，但也是一时的。不过，还要注意的是，他们帮助那些彩票投注站或赌场获取了利润。
其实，想要财富持续不断的进入我们的账户没那么困难。简单地改变大脑的思维，我们就会大幅改善收入状况。
现在想想你目前的工作能帮自己带来几次报酬？你卖的东西是一生能用几次？又有多少人回到你这里再次消费?
当我们真正的想明白后，我们就可以打造一个永远不缺钱的计划，真正的拥有财富。
02、彻底改变收入结构
收入结构，是决定家庭富有、贫穷的关键。大部分的家庭收入的95%都是通过上班获得薪水。
剩下的5%的不工作获得的收入大约为：利息收入、房租收入、退休金、版税等；并且有些家庭这5%是不存在的。
因此要改变收入结构，我们就必须增加“不工作时的收入”。我们得想清楚，在当今这个社会，需要存多少钱才能退休，才能够抵御增长快速的通货膨胀。
03、全家至少有一人要创造持续收入
每辆车都有第5个轮胎，多出来的就是备胎。你有为家人准备“持续收入”的备胎吗？
每个家庭里都有两种角色，“照顾者”和“依赖者”。
“照顾者”：负担家里的生计，赚钱回家养家糊口的；另一种没有工作能力的角色，就属于“依赖者”。
我们要明白，风险、意外是永远不预知避免的，如果很不幸，“照顾者”出事了，这个家庭的“依赖者”将会陷入贫穷，甚至整个家都会崩塌。
因为“照顾者”的倒下来而使全家顿失依靠，需要社会救济，这样的现象我们的生活中屡见不鲜。其实，不需要风险、意外，只要有一天“照顾者”被老板辞退、公司倒闭等种种因素失去收入来源，那么全家的经济重心就会顿时失衡。
还有很重要的一点要引起我们的注意，大部分的照顾者每天辛勤工作，长期下来，身体极有可能不堪重负。因此，往往最早倒下来的都是照顾者。
聪明的家庭知道未雨绸缪，可以帮助“照顾者”减轻负担，那么彻底改变收入结构，追求持续收入就是唯一的选择。因此，要远离贫穷，全家至少要有一个人创造持续收入。
04、影响世人脱离贫穷，共同创造持续收入
在当今这个社会中人在顺境时，一定要想想危机在哪里。什么时候创造出持续收入，你就能在什么时候脱离贫穷。
所以，趁自己还有体力与业余时间，赶快为自己或家人至少累积一份持续收入吧。
凡是不可持续的收入，再高都不值得羡慕，超时工作，以健康为代价去追求更不值得。
另外，光靠储蓄的利息也不足以让你养老。

麦席勒在为一次会议准备的评论中说，从一项指标来衡量，政治和经济不确定性几乎是历史平均水平的三倍，这给长期利率带来巨大下行压力。
